Salish Lodge and Spa offers 84 guest rooms, all of which come with oversized two-person jetted bathtubs in the bathrooms, balconies or window seats to enjoy the outdoors and a fireplace. The bedrooms boast king-sized or two double featherbeds, fitted with goose down feather bedding, 320 thread-count linens and a variety of pillow options. Many of the rooms also have views out over the Snoqualmie River and workstation bureaus with chairs.

The décor was chosen with relaxation and contemplation in mind, focusing on rich, warm tones and a variety of wood colors. The soft lighting provides guest rooms with a calming ambience, while the variety of nature photographs or historical images hanging on the walls provide unique, boutique touches. Room type varies depending on the view.

Classic rooms are king-sized only and offer a view of the front of the lodge, while deluxe rooms look out over the grounds and nearby historic buildings. River view rooms, as their name suggests, show off the Snoqualmie River and its surrounding area, including the hydroelectric power plant that has been in use for over a century.

Top of the range are the One Room River Suites, which come with a separate parlor. There’s a pull-out sofa bed, dining room seating for eight, hardwood floors, Bose surround-sound and 50” plasma television in this extra room to provide additional, comfortable living space. The suites’ bedrooms boast a magnificent corner view over the river, the canyon below the Snoqualmie Falls and the hydroelectric power plant.

All rooms can also be booked on the Spa Level, the fourth floor of the lodge. A stay in any of the Spa Level rooms include a Salish Bath Butler sampler for the bath, coffee, treats and other bonus perks.

 

The Dining Room is Salish Lodge’s signature restaurant. Polished and refined, it provides a high-class dining experience which promises to dazzle the senses. The restaurant is passionate about innovative cuisine, made fresh from local and seasonal ingredients and served with a flare. There are new and exciting twists on traditional Northwestern fare, and many dishes feature honey from the Lodge’s own bees. Other unique items on the menu include the Lodge’s private label collection of still and sparkling wines, and a selection of locally-made artisan cheeses.

Breakfast at The Dining Room is an experience in and of itself, as the Country Breakfast features four courses complete with steel-cut oats and a unique Honey from Heaven service, where fresh honey is drizzled over made-in-house buttery biscuits. Despite the fine food, the restaurant also feels friendly and welcoming: There are expose brick walls, a beamed ceiling and a roaring fire to compete with views of the roaring Snoqualmie Falls.

In contrast, The Attic is a more casual and low-key affair with a view of the waterfall that can’t be beaten. It’s a popular spot for dinner and drinks, as the food on offer is much simpler. There’s a stone hearth pizza oven, freshly baked bread encasing crisp sandwich fillings and furniture that encourages you to kick back and relax.

Thanks to its more laidback vibe, The Attic is a great place to grab drinks at this Snoqualmie Falls lodge. It has an extensive drink list, including the Lodge’s private label wines and a unique Salish Honey Flavored Vodka made by Glass Distillery. There’s also a Pike Hive Five Hopped Honey Ale by The Pike Brewing Company made especially for the hotel. Other libations on offer include cocktails made from seasonal produce, and a carefully curated selection of Northwestern drinks that showcase the best the region has to offer.

 

The award-winning Spa at Salish Lodge uses calming ingredients like cedar, eucalyptus and its own home-made honey to instill deep relaxation in its visitors.

A steam room, dry sauna and therapeutic pools are available for use for two hours before or after any treatment, and there’s also a boutique retail shop selling the spa’s own products alongside big name brands. Many of Salish Lodge’s own treatment products include honey from their apiary, in a local and sustainable fashion that’s completely organic and original.

Some of the treatments on offer include skin care packages that provide skin analysis, cleansing, exfoliation, masks, moisturizing and restorative massage, and massages in a stunning selection of styles and practices from Heated River Rock to Ancient Thai. There’s also body therapies that promise to nourish and revitalize, such as exfoliations, body wraps and detox treatments. Pregnancy treatments are available to indulge and care for expecting mothers, and there are also yoga sessions on the heated Hidden Terrace that offers spiritual practice right at the top of Snoqualmie Falls.

 

Salish Lodge offers private hire for both weddings and meetings, with a large range of rooms that can be rented out to optimize space and atmosphere.

Weddings have been held at Salish Lodge for years, and as such they are well-equipped for nuptial services. Ceremonies are available in atmosphere locations, such as inside the grand ballroom or at the top of the tumbling falls. Experienced team members can provide bartending and cake cutting services, and reception facilities are available for up to five hours. The staff can help soon-to-be-weds through every stage of the planning, from creating customized menus full of seasonal flavor to providing an hour’s block for rehearsal time and a bridal changing room (depending on availability). Weddings can accommodate up to 150 guests, and elopement ceremonies are also available for up to 12 guests.

Corporate hire is also offered, for meetings or team building retreats of up to 180 people in modern rooms equipped with high-speed Internet and audio-visual equipment. The meeting rooms come in a variety of different sizes, from 16-person focus groups in the Cliffside Room full of lodge character to the grand Salish Ballroom accommodating up to 180 people in a theater set-up. Salish Lodge also promises to be an ideal location for team building or executive retreats. Activities on offer include outdoor pastimes such as geocaching, hiking or biking, or more cultured suggestions like wood-fired pizza masterclasses or learning about wine tasting.

Nearby is TPC Snoqualmie Ridge, a top-rated private golf course and the only Jack Nicklaus Signature Course in the whole of the Pacific Northwest region. The course is challenging, and despite its traditionally sized greens, approach shots can prove to be tricky. The 18-hole, par-72 course measures 7,264 yards from top to bottom, offering panoramic scenery including both the Cascade Mountains and the tumbling Snoqualmie Falls.

Salish Lodge and Spa is right next to Snoqualmie Falls Park, which boasts fantastic views of the Falls, the canyon below and the verdant surrounding forests thanks to its observation deck. The Snoqualmie Valley Area also features a scenic railroad, a historic downtown square, as well as The Snoqualmie Falls Brewing Company, a microbrewery with tours and tastings.

More active guests might want to take a hike around the Cascade foothills or even trek to the serene Annette Lake. There’s mountain biking trails for riders from novice up to professional experience levels, trout fishing in the many water features in the area, or skiing during the frozen winter months.

Dogs are welcome at Salish Lodge but the pet-friendly rooms are limited. Therefore, advance reservations are required and dog-friendly rooms depend on availability. Up to two dogs are allowed per guest room, though there is a non-refundable charge of $65 per dog and guests will be accountable for any damage their pets incur. Salish Lodge offers its four-legged visitors a Pampered Paws Program, ensuring pets receive a treat made by Paws Gourmet upon arrival, a dog blanket to sleep on and take home and a bone-shaped collar tag as a memento. There’s also plenty of on-site green space for dogs to walk and play in, alongside handy waste disposal bins.
