The Postcard Inn Beach Resort and Marina at Holiday Isle is a beautiful hotel located right on the water in Islamorada. The resort is just minutes away from Key Largo and a short drive from Fort Lauderdale, Miami and Key West.

The hotel has a very retro, cool, traditional beach villa vibe with new amenities and features complimenting the existing look and feel of the resort. Guests can choose from a variety of guest rooms and suites and enjoy watersports, fishing and a variety of other activities and attractions when they stay at the Postcard Inn Beach Resort and Marina at Holiday Isle.


1. Rooms & Suites

Guests have many different options when it comes to choosing their accommodation. The hotel has standard, classic and ocean front rooms and suites on site. The Standard Queen room is only a few steps away from the beach and resort pool. The room includes a pillow-top queen bed, a bathroom, a plasma screen television, wireless internet and is decorated with hand crafted artwork and furnishings and beautiful drift wood tile floors.

Guests can also choose to stay in the Classic Double Queen room which like all the other rooms, is very close to the beach and pool. This room can sleep two couples or a small family with its two pillow-top queen beds. It includes its own private balcony, a table with chairs inside for lounging, a large bathroom, a television, wireless internet, a mini fridge to store snacks and beverages as well as boathouse, beach themed artwork and furnishings. Another option, the Classic King, has a similar set up to that of the Classic Queen but features a pillow-top king bed.

The hotel offers Oceanfront accommodations as well. Some of these include the Oceanfront double queen, Oceanfront King, and Oceanfront King Lanai and Oceanfront Double Queen Lanai. The Lanai rooms include a veranda for guests to relax and sit out on which offers magnificent views of the Atlantic and white sandy beach below.

Guests who are looking to really treat themselves can book the Oceanfront King Suite, Oceanfront two-Bedroom Deluxe or the Oceanfront two-Bedroom Suite. The Oceanfront King Suite is perfect for couples or families. It offers extra room with one king bed, a living room with a pull out couch, an inviting private balcony and plenty of boathouse décor. Other luxury suites include the Oceanfront 2 Bedroom Deluxe and Oceanfront 2 Bedroom Suite. These accommodates two couples or a small family as well and includes two private rooms with one king bed in each, a bathroom, and a private balcony as well.


2. Dining

The hotel offers a few onsite restaurants and bars for its guests to enjoy. These include Shulas 2, the Tiki Bar and Jaws Raw Bar. Shulas 2 has both inside seating, a bar area and an outside patio where guests or locals can enjoy a nice lunch or dinner. Shulas 2 is well known for its premium black angus cuts of steak and offers a 7 ounce filet mignon, 12 ounce New York Strip and 14 ounce Ribeye on its menu. Some other menu items include burgers like the Shula’s BBQ Burger and Wine Country Burger topped with roasted pepper, goat cheese, balsamic greens and roasted tomato.

The restaurant also offers healthy salads and fish dishes like seared Ahi Tuna and Fish and chips. The drink menu is extensive here as well, offering many different craft and domestic beers, wines, and cocktails like rum runners, a classic mojito and frozen strawberry and mango margaritas. Shulas 2 restaurant and bar is open from 11:30 AM to 10:00 PM Sunday through Thursday, and 11:30 AM to 11:00 PM on Friday and Saturday. Guests can secure reservations for the restaurant at the hotel or on the restaurant website.

Bars at the hotel include the Tiki Bar and Jaws Raw Bar, both of which serve food as well. The open air Tiki Bar located right on the water was opened roughly 50 years ago and has been the hang out spot for guests since its opening. They offer a variety of frozen drinks like pina coladas and margaritas and a variety of appetizers, sandwiches, and meals like the ahi tuna poke, all of which can be enjoyed on the outside deck while listening to live music. It is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week so guests will not miss out on the fun that is the Tiki Bar.

The other bar, Jaws Raw Bar, is also located right on the water and offers the freshest, most delicious seafood plates around. Guests may enjoy their dishes at the bars outside picnic tables while watching all of the water sports or while checking out the impressive boat and jet ski display in the marina. The menu includes items like conch fritters and fries, coconut shrimp, calamari, and crab cake sandwiches. For those who don’t love seafood, Jaws Raw Bar also offers grilled chicken sandwiches served with Swiss cheese, pineapple salsa and chipotle and tasty jerk, buffalo and teriyaki chicken wings which can be washed down with a cold beer or cocktail from the bar’s extensive drink list. This bar also offers live entertainment in the evenings and is open from 11:00 AM to 9:00 PM Sunday through Thursday and 11:00 AM to 11:00 PM on Friday and Saturday’s every week.


3. Weddings & Meetings

The Postcard Inn Beach Resort and Marina at Holiday Isle is happy to host weddings and events onsite. It It has a perfect tropical and romantic setting with exquisite views of the ocean and white sandy beaches that create the most spectacular backdrop for weddings. The resort can accommodate up to 500 guests and offers onsite wedding consultants to assist with planning. With two pools, three restaurants, bars, a marina and retail stores all within walking distance, wedding guests will have plenty to choose before and after the special day.

The Bride and groom can choose to tie the knot on Rum Runner’s beach, the resorts most popular wedding venue, on Celebration Island, Bimini Row, in the Horizon Room, or in the Quarter Deck. There are plenty of options. The Rum Runner’s Beach venue is a big thatched-roof beach pavilion, located right on the beach overlooking the ocean, and sits in between picturesque Florida palm trees. This venue can accommodate up to 120 guests. If the bride and groom choose to get married on Celebration Island instead, they will be getting married on the only private wedding island in the Upper Florida Keys. This second venue option is open aired with a thatched roof altar overlooking the ocean.

The capacity for this venue is 75 guests. Another option is Bimini Row located at the South end of the resort next to the marina. It is also open aired and situated on the water and accommodates up to 120 guests. Lastly, the wedding party can choose to celebrate the special day in the Horizon Room. This location is situated at the highest point in Islamorada, on the sixth floor of the main building of the resort. The Horizon room offers magnificent views of the Atlantic Ocean and Florida bay from its open wraparound porch and floor-to-ceiling windows that are found all along the banquet room walls. The bride and groom and wedding guests can take in the ocean air and enjoy a spectacular sunset or sunrise from the deck. This space is quite large at 3,690 square feet and can accommodate up to 100 people for both the ceremony and reception.

The Postcard Inn also enjoys hosting executive meetings, cocktail parties, company outings, reunions, fishing tournaments, the list goes on and on. The Inn has seven different meeting and event locations with either ocean views or ocean front locations. The Horizon Room is perfect for reunions, board and executive group meetings. The room is also used for weddings and situated on the sixth floor of the Inn has spectacular views of the Ocean and bay. The Quarterdeck, located on the second floor of the main building, also has picture perfect views of the ocean and is a great spot to hold corporate retreats or cocktail parties. For those looking for a more adventures, outdoorsy event, the Postcard Inn hosts many fishing tournaments and corporate teambuilding activities outside that may include an afternoon of kite-boarding, kayaking and delicious food.

Islamorada is known as the sport fishing capital of the world, so fishing is quite popular here. The Postcard Inn Beach Resort & Marina owns a famous fishing fleet and takes fishing enthusiast guests to sea on its fishing tours every day. The Inn offers both offshore and backcountry fishing with experienced fishing captains driving the boat to the most ideal fishing locations. Offshore boats can seat up to six guests while the backcountry boats have room for up to 4 guests. An option for larger groups is the “Island Star” party boat. It accommodates up to 74 guests and is perfect for large groups or single passengers who are looking for a fun day of fishing out on the water.

Besides fishing, guests can rent jet skis, boats, or go snorkeling or diving. For those guests just looking to relax on the water, the Sunset cruise is highly recommended. For guests who do not enjoy water sports, the Inn can organize an Indian Key State Park Tour where guests can hike and explore a deserted 11 acre island close by with ruins from an 1800’s town. The island is surrounded by coral reefs so snorkeling is definitely an option here as well.
