Constructed from authentic train boxcars, which have been beautifully renovated into charming guest accommodations, the Northern Rail Traincar Inn promises a getaway like no other.

The Northern Rail Traincar Inn features 14 beautifully appointed and individually decorated guest rooms with gorgeous views of the surrounding woodlands. Rooms are decorated in different themed, namely Bear, Golf, Fishing, Lighthouse, Oriental, Safari, and Victorian, and have comfortable king or queen-size beds with deluxe linens and en-suite bathrooms with walk-in showers. Modern amenities include flat-screen televisions with DVD players, in-room telephones and alarm clocks, hairdryers, irons and ironing boards (on request), and complimentary wireless Internet.

Porter Rooms have queen-size beds and private bathrooms with showers, and cozy sitting areas with tables and chairs. Porter Rooms with Sofa Sleeper has the same amenities with the addition of a sleeper sofa for extra guests, while Porter Room with Two Queen Beds offers two queen-size beds, private en-suite bathrooms, and comfy chairs.

The Queen Conductor Suite is a full train car suite decorated in a safari theme and boasts a king-size bed, an en-suite bathroom with a soaking tub and walk-in shower, a living room with a queen-size sleeper sofa and an electric fireplace, and modern amenities such as a microwave and mini-refrigerator.

King Conductor Suites are Victorian-themed suites and feature king bedrooms with seating areas and electric fireplaces, private bathrooms with full-size showers and soaking tubs, and living rooms with queen-size sleeper sofas, microwaves, and mini-fridges.

A continental breakfast is served every morning and includes fresh fruit, yogurt, oatmeal and other cereals, fresh bread and English muffins, French toast, waffles, eggs, orange juice, coffee, tea and hot chocolate.

Amenities at the Northern Rail Traincar Inn include a continental breakfast served in the depot-style main building every morning, a lending library of books, games, toys, and DVDs, summertime campfires and s’mores, and complimentary wireless Internet. The Inn has snowshoes available for guests to use in the winter months and there is a communal lounge with a fireplace where guests can relax and socialize. Summer activities range from hiking, biking, kayaking, canoeing and fishing to camping, birding, boating, and golf. Winter recreation includes snowmobiling, snowshoeing, dog sledding, downhill skiing, cross-country skiing, ice fishing and ice skating.
