High Peaks Resort is located on beautiful Lake Placid in the Adirondack Mountains of New York, a a popular weekend getaway from Boston. The resort suites offer spectacular views of the Adirondack mountains and come as one-bedroom single king suites or as two queen rooms. The one-bedroom single king suite is one of the resorts more spacious rooms. Each bedroom comes with a king sized bed, an oversized lounge chair, work desk and chair, and flat screen TV.The living room in these suites features a queen sized sleeper sofa that can be used as an extra bed, a second television, and a dining table for guests looking to enjoy a nice meal in the suite. Each suite also has a large bathroom with walk-in shower and whirlpool tub.

The signature suites which include the high peaks signature single king rooms and the high peaks signature two queen rooms are all located on the first and second floors and provide quick and easy access to the Main street and lake. These suites also have their own private balcony and patio with amazing views of the Adirondacks. Also available are the superior king and queen suites. These offer similar amenities like the large bedroom and additional sleeper sofa, and a chaise. Though, the views are what makes these suites superior. They have the best views of Lake Placid and the surrounding mountains. The resort rooms also come with in-room mobility and hearing accessible amenities if requested by guests. Another room option is the waterfront room. The waterfront rooms can come as a king suite or two queen rooms. The waterfront rooms are in a separate building from the resort suites right on the water front with direct access to the shore. The king suites have a separate bedroom with a king sized bed and seating area with a large window that allows guests to overlook Whiteface mountain. The other rooms are a living room area which includes a queen size sleeper sofa, and a dining room that features a kitchen table and a wet bar. The two queen room suites also feature these separate rooms but instead of a king, have the two queen sized beds. Large parties can conjoin nearby rooms to create additional sleeping space in either room. Some of the king suites feature a fireplace and balcony as well. The single King Junior Suite is another waterfront option and is perfect for couples seeking a romantic weekend getaway. This room features a stone-tiled walk in shower and jetted tub, as well as a fireplace, perfect for snuggling up next to a loved one.

Lastly, guests can choose to stay in the Lake House. The lake house is tucked away from the main resort. It is a hotel room but feels like a private lake house with many amenities and luxuries. The High Peaks resort has a bar at the lake house and a lounge area called the “lake house great room” for all guests to enjoy all year around, as well as the Dancing Bears restaurant, and “the Deck” during the warmer months. The bar at the lake house is the perfect place to relax and enjoy a local craft beer or glass of wine after a day of touring around. The bar is open Wednesday through Sunday from four in the afternoon to eleven at night. While sipping on one's beverage, guests can hang out in the great room situated right next to the bar. This seating area features a fireplace, beautiful and cozy furniture, and a variety of board games, if guests are looking for additional entertainment.

Open daily, Dancing Bears restaurant is a casual family restaurant that offers breakfast, lunch, and dinner to both guests and the public. The Dancing Bears offers plates like the huervos rancheros, eggs benedict, and pancakes and waffles for breakfast. For lunch and dinner, the restaurant offers dishes like the barbeque chicken caesar salad, sandwiches like the Reuben and grilled Rachel, made with turkey, Cole slaw and Swiss cheese. The Dancing Bears also serves items likefish and chips, pizza, and specialty and build your own burgers. It's a local go-to spot that everyone really seems to enjoy while visiting Lake Placid. There is something for everyone on the menu.

There is also “the Deck” which is a seasonal restaurant open from May through October. This is the perfect place to grab a few cocktails, a bite to eat, and listen to some local tunes. It's great for people of all ages and the menu offers everything from fish tacos and burgers to salmon and pasta dishes. It's recommended to come to the deck right before dusk as it's a great place to catch the sunset over Mirror lake. There are also restaurants in the area that guests can enjoy as well. Some restaurants worth mentioning include Lisa G's, which is a local bar and pub that offers really good American food, Smoke Signals which is known for its fantastic barbeque food, and Top of the Park which is a Mediterranean bar and grill offering killer views of the lake, delicious cocktails, and unique small plates like confit chicken wings that are marinated in brine for 24 hours and slowly poached in duck fat and rainbow trout. Reviewers of this restaurant state that the stuffed calamari filled with roasted red peppers, pine nuts, shallot and arugula served with chipotle aioli are to die for.

For weddings, the resort provides a wedding coordinator for the bride and groom that will help plan and customize the special day so it is as perfect as can be. The waterfront and ballroom venue can hold the most guests with the ballroom accommodating up to 300 guests and the waterfront outdoor wedding venue accommodating up to 125 guests.

For smaller and more intimate weddings, the couple can say their vows in front of the Adirondack fireplace during the colder months, or poolside in the resorts courtyard during the warmer months where floating candles and sparkling lights set the mood and the mountain views make one's mouth drop. When the wedding winds down, the bride and groom can rent out the Lake House for the after party and have all guests party and sleep together under one roof. All rooms in the lake house can be reserved and once reserved, everyone has exclusive access to the facilities. The High Peaks resort is a magical place for a wedding and offers some of the best views around.

With over 10,000 square feet of meeting space, the resort offers small board room type set-ups, break out rooms, and large rooms that can fit up to 400 people.
