The High Peaks resort is the quintessential spot to have a wedding or event. For weddings, the resort provides a wedding coordinator for the bride and groom that will help plan and customize the special day so it is as perfect as can be. The couple can choose the waterfront, poolside, fireplace or ballroom venue for the celebration. The waterfront and ballroom venue can hold the most guests with the ballroom accommodating up to 300 guests and the waterfront outdoor wedding venue accommodating up to 125 guests.
For smaller and more intimate weddings, the couple can say their vows in front of the Adirondack fireplace during the colder months, or poolside in the resorts courtyard during the warmer months where floating candles and sparkling lights set the mood and the mountain views make one's mouth drop. When the wedding winds down, the bride and groom can rent out the Lake House for the after party and have all guests party and sleep together under one roof. All rooms in the lake house can be reserved and once reserved, everyone has exclusive access to the facilities. The High Peaks resort is a magical place for a wedding and offers some of the best views around.
High Peaks Resort can also accommodate meetings, events and conferences of all sizes. With over 10,000 square feet of meeting space, the resort offers small board room type set-ups, break out rooms, and large rooms that can fit up to 400 people. Meeting planners can pick from a variety of meeting spaces situated in cozy, office like spaces with fireplaces and board tables or rooms that are over 3,000 square feet in size with high ceilings that include four break out rooms.
The hotel also offers corporate retreat packages and activity and team building options for groups in town for meetings or conferences, or for groups that are just looking for a bonding activity or new team experience. Some team building activities include the Golden Medal Games which are competitive sporting events that a company, group of friends, or colleagues can partake in, inside the venue used for the 1980's Lake Placid Olympics. Groups can also take guided hikes through the Adirondacks or go ice skating, sledding, or cross country skiing during the winter. The resort also offers up a reception area 120 meters up with magnificent views of the mountains and a viewing platform where groups can watch ski jumpers soar through the air and perform unbelievable stunts. The venue is anything but boring.
