3. Museum of the American Railroad, Frisco, Texas
The Museum of the American Railroad is dedicated to preserving the history of the railroad in the United States. The museum displays a variety of objects from the railroad industry as well as several old trains which are preserved for visitors to tour and view.
The museum was started in 1961 when a few volunteers came together to preserve the history of steam powered passenger trains which were fading out of use. 4. Sci-Tech Discovery Center, Frisco, Texas
The Sci-Tech Discovery Center is a hands-on science and technology center. It has educational exhibits for visitors of all ages and encourages active learning by letting visitors take part in the exhibits. Some examples of the exhibits on display are Bodies in Balance, which is an exhibit about the human body, Nano Station, which teaches about nano-engineering, and Coordination Station, which teaches principles of basic physics through hands-on activities.
