Located just north of Traverse City on the Old Mission Peninsula, Chateau Chantal was established in 1983, when grafted ‘vinifera’ grape vines, the same species of wine grape grown in the Bordeaux region of France, replaced the resident cherry orchards. The 65-acre estate is set on a sprawling vineyard and winery that produces award-winning wines and offers tours and tastings on a daily basis.

The Executive Apartment is a two bedroom, two bathroom apartment that is ideal for couples traveling together or families. The apartment features a master suite with an en-suite bathroom, a second bathroom with shower, a fully-equipped kitchen, and a spacious living area with a fireplace. Two private decks boast breathtaking views of the vineyards and the bay.

A full, freshly prepared hot breakfast is served every morning by the Inn’s chef and includes a variety of hot and cold dishes, fresh fruit and fruit juice, and hot coffee and tea.
Chateau Chantal Bed and Breakfast is set on the Chateau Chantal winery and offers an array of amenities including a restaurant and wine shop, wine tastings, cellar tours and cooking classes. A delicious gourmet breakfast is served every morning, and guests can enjoy a special Chateau Chantal Wine Dinner (seasonal), which involves a beautifully paired seven-course meal, each course paired with a Chateau Chantal wine.

During the summer, guests can enjoy Tapas Tours, which includes a tour of the vineyard and winery and an offering of eight small bite pairings with Chateau Chantal wines. Sensory Treat Tours are held every day during the summer season and include a tour of the vineyards and cellar while learning the art of winemaking and pairing food with wine.
Chateau Chantal offers special Cooking Class Packages for guests of the bed and breakfast and outside visitors. Classes include the preparation of delicious cuisine, which is paired with fine wines from the Chateau Chantal estate.
