Shortly after the fire, the Idaho Aviation Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving and advocating small and backcountry airstrips around Idaho, decided to raise some funds and rebuild the lodge, opening up to the public in 2018.

Lodgepole Grill
The Lodgepole Grill, located in Phillips Lodge, serves both lunch and dinner.
Lunch is served daily until 5pm. The menu is classic American food, including burgers, chicken tenders and sandwiches, and fish. They also serve traditional appetizers, like onion rings and hot wings, as well as salads and pasta.
The dinner menu is similar, expanding the traditional options into more substantial portions. Guests can also enjoy prime rib on Friday and Saturday. All choices are served with either salad or soup and one side option (baked potato, garlic mashed potatoes, or steamed vegetables).
The Lodgepole Grill also has a children’s menu, which allows younger visitors (under the age of 12) to The Pines to choose more child-friendly options like corn dogs, grilled cheese, and french fries.
Nearby Attractions
The Pines are located close to many famous Idaho attractions.
One of the most well-known is Yellowstone National Park. Yellowstone is perhaps most famous for the Old Faithful Geyser, the Grand Canyon, Mammoth Hot Springs, and the Grand Prismatic Spring. Ask the front desk for directions or to arrange transportation.
Mesa Falls is a less busy but just as beautiful natural area located close to The Pines. Mesa Falls consists of both the Upper Mesa and Lower Mesa Falls, which are on the Snake River’s Henry’s Fork.
Also close to the resort is Henry’s Lake State Park. Guest at The Pines often enjoy full days out at the state park and taking part in outdoor activities like picnicking, hiking, biking, fishing, boating, and playing horseshoes. Another close state park is Harriman State Park, which is known for having just as many summer as winter activities. Depending on the time of the visit, guests can enjoy fly fishing, historical tours of Railroad Ranch, or Nordic skiing (with over twenty miles of trails).
For water-based activities, guests can visit the Island Park Reservoir. The water here covers more than 8000 acres and has multiple access points for boating, swimming, and more.

Attraction Spotlight: Boise Art Museum
Located in Boise, Idaho, the Boise Art Museum is a facility that preserves and promotes the education and influence of art within an array of permanent attractions, special exhibits, and educational programs.
The Boise Art Association, Inc. was established on December 3, 1932. This non-profit corporation was established to promote the education and influence of art within the Boise community. Around the time the Boise Art Association, Inc. was established, the Association received a donation from the Carnegie Public Library in the form of a building to hold their art collection. This art collection was created with the initiative to allow the general public to gain an interest into the fine and applied arts.
In 1937 the Boise Art Association, Inc. raised enough funds to build and open their own official art gallery, titled the Boise Gallery of Art. The Boise Gallery of Art was located in the Julia Davis Park. Many of the exhibits showcased at the original Boise Gallery of Art include; Guggenheim Collection, Latin American Art, Hokusai Drawings, and Chinese American Art.
The Boise Gallery of Art continued to expand, and in the mid-1960s, the Boise Art Association, Inc. decided to start a fundraiser to fund an extensive renovation to the Boise Gallery of Art. In 1972, the Association raised enough money to fund the renovation, and the new gallery was built and open to the public one year later. When the building re-opened, the Boise Art Association, Inc. signified their new building and initiatives with a name change to the Boise Gallery of Art Association, Inc.
Almost one decade later, the Boise Gallery of Art Association, Inc. started a new fundraiser to fund a second renovation to the Boise Art Gallery that would create expansive room for the Associationís growing art collection. The Association raised enough funds for the renovation in 1986, and one year later the new building opened. To signify, yet again, another transition in the Associationís history, the Association changed its official name to the Boise Art Museum, Inc. The gallery also became known as the Boise Art Museum.
One of the last major events to occur in the Boise Art Museumís history was in 1997 when the Museum initiated a campaign worth well over $1 million. This campaign allowed the Museum to successfully renovate its building to have a whopping total area of 34,800 square feet.
The Boise Art Museum has an array of permanent art attractions that spread out across the Museumís total 34,800 square feet. The Boise Art Museum keeps an extra element of surprise by keeping much of the information about what lies within the Museumís permanent art collection a secret. What is known about the permanent art attractions is that they cover a variety of art forms from all over the world.
