The Nines is home to two unique restaurants that offer exclusive dining experiences – the Urban Farmer Steakhouse and the Departure Restaurant + Lounge.

Located in the atrium lobby on the 8th floor of the hotel, Urban Farmer serves an artistic menu of Northwestern cuisine, including a range of locally sourced beef options, served in a chic environment. Designed by David Ashen, the restaurant boasts harmonious country décor using reclaimed and organic materials and an expansive deck captures the spirit of alfresco dining. A 20-foot table made from old-growth Douglas Fir offers communal dining while the “Pantry” offers a more intimate setting with walls of reclaimed timber and shelves stacked with bright jars of vegetables and pickled fruits. The menu features refined spins on traditional steakhouse dishes, including award-winning beef Wagyu, and mouthwatering side dishes such as braised greens with sunchokes. The cuisine is accompanied by a notable wine list, which features a range of world-class wines from around the country.

Departure Restaurant + Lounge is located on the 15th floor and serves an eclectic fusion of modern Asian cuisine in a futuristic setting against a backdrop of spectacular rooftop city views. The main dining room features a 65-foot long windshield skylight and a teak-clad bar, which forms the centerpiece of the chamber with intimate dining booths on each side. Two open air patios offer alfresco dining and stunning views. Drawing inspiration from the neighborhood cuisine of Izakayas in Japan, the menu features Zensai, Dim Sum, O Sui Mono, Kushiyaki, and Gohan No Mono, as well as fuse flavors of other Southeast Asian countries, such as Thailand, Laos and Malaysia. An extensive wine list and beverage program accompany the exotic menu with more than 30 specialty sakes and shochu, handcrafted cocktails, and signature spirits.

The Library is a warm and welcoming room with wall-to-wall wooden shelves holding 3,000 new and used books, plush Chesterfield leather sofas, and purple leather walls. The Library also features original pieces of artwork by local artists, including cartoonist John Callahan, Gus Van Sant and Chris Johanson and serves a menu of light meals, signature cocktails, and imported spirits.
