1. LEGOLAND California Resort

LEGOLAND California Resort

LEGOLAND California Resort is a combination of fun, LEGO themed places to be. This includes LEGOLAND California, LEGOLAND Water Park, SEA LIFE Aquarium, and LEGOLAND Hotel.

LEGOLAND California’s theme park features over 60 rides, attractions, and shows such as LEGO Star Wars, Pirate Reef, and Legends of Chima Water. Aside from the LEGO Star Wars Miniland Death Star Model Display, one of the latest attractions is the LEGO Heartlake City where visitors can build a LEGO horse, ride Mia’s Carousel, and even meet five LEGO friends in person.

Those who visit the SEA LIFE Aquarium will find more than 5,000 living creatures there. The aquarium incorporates LEGO models, play zones, and quiz trails as part of the child’s learning experience through the ocean depths. Aside from having sandy beaches, LEGOLAND Water Park is home to seven slides and the popular Build-A-Raft River.

2. Themed Guest Rooms at LEGOLAND Hotel

Themed Guest Rooms at LEGOLAND Hotel

Located just at the main entrance of LEGOLAND California, the hotel is the first thing guests should go to when they arrive from the airport. The guest rooms and the hotel premises are filled with interactive LEGO features, making it a child’s dream place.

Guests get to choose from four different LEGO themes:

Pirate Theme – sporting a red and white color scheme and pirate skulls, the linen and curtains in these rooms look like LEGO pirate sails. All the furniture looks like the ones seen in a typical pirate ship, with barrels for side tables and old fashioned lamps for lighting. There’s a large center rug that looks like a giant treasure map, and the floors and walls look like the inside of a pirate ship.

Kingdom Theme – designed to give a feel of royalty about it, the Kingdom themed rooms have everything a bedroom inside a fairytale castle would. Colored in elegant drapes of royal green, yellow, and red, the bedroom is designed to be fit for a prince or princess. Even the floor and walls resemble the bricks of castle walls.

Adventure Theme – this is the room for explorers. They get to stay in a room surrounded by earth colors while being surrounded in classic images of a cave exploration such as snakes, artefacts, and scarabs. The floor and walls look like the inside of a pyramid – something a fan of LEGO Indiana Jones would love to see.

LEGO Friends – designed for the ultimate sleepover experience, this room is full of colors and characters. The bright but comfortable feel of the room helps make staying in the same room with friends a fun experience while still making sleeping completely comfortable.

Every room can sleep up to five guests, with a maximum of two adults. There are two sleeping areas, one for the adults and another for the kids. The adult sleeping area has a king bed while the kid’s sleeping area has a bunk bed with pull-out trundle bed and an entertainment unit. The suites, also with the four themes, can sleep a max of seven, with four adults maximum.

Guests are welcomed with a treasure hunt with LEGO prizes at stake, and will have LEGO bricks to play with throughout their stay. Fully themed rooms come with additional LEGO decorations and models for a full experience. There’s high-speed Internet access as well as two HD Flat screen TVs with complimentary on-demand content.

The rooms are air-conditioned and come with a mini-fridge and coffee maker. There are cribs and ADA accessible facilities available upon request.

3. Hotel Benefits and Activities

Hotel Benefits and Activities

Being connected to the theme park, there are a lot of perks for staying at the LEGOLAND Hotel. The first thing they’ll get is a welcome treasure hunt, where those who find clues throughout the hotel and find the combination will get special LEGO prizes found in the treasure chest in their room.

Guests are literally just steps away from LEGOLAND California, where there are more than 60 rides, shows, and attractions. But what makes the access even more unique is that guests will be able to enter the theme park earlier than other visitors. The exclusive early access will give them the chance to get on selected rides and attractions even before the park opens to the public. While the entry time vary, guests will always have a one-hour head start.

Guests will also have the opportunity to engage in Minifigure Trading. They just have to bring a minifigure that’s in complete and good condition or buy one at the hotel and they get to trade with any Model Citizen for as much as they like. They also get to experience tons of interactive LEGO features all over the hotel, such as the giant pit of LEGO bricks found in the main lobby, or the castle play area. There are also LEGO models and many more surprises inside every room and in every corner of the hotel.

There’s also a resort-style pool within the vicinity of the hotel. This is a zero-entry, heated pool riddled with LEGO soft bricks to play with. Meanwhile, beverages and food can be served poolside, and swim-in movies are shown occasionally. There are also cabanas for rent.

At night, there’s LEGOLAND style entertainment in the form of character Meet and Greets, Kids Improv Hour, Hero Training, and the seasonal Swim-in movies. There’s also a disco elevator where people can have their own dance party. Finally, prizes are up for grabs in the hotel’s regular LEGO Building competition.
