The Inn At 835 Historic Bed and Breakfast is a charming and elegant bed and breakfast inn located in Springfield and within walking distance of the Korean War Veteran National Museum and Library. Founded by florist and businesswoman Miss Bell Miller and designed by George Helmle in a Classical Revival style, the turn-of-the-century Inn at 835 was built in the early 1900s as a luxury apartment complex with many discerning clients and was later transformed into a bed and breakfast Inn. Today, turn-of-the-century retreat offers deluxe accommodations in the form of beautifully appointed guest rooms and suites, first-class amenities and guest services, including a free shuttle bus and bicycles for hire, and warm and welcoming hospitality. The elegantly restored 1909 apartment building in which the inn is housed is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the only one in Springfield.
1. Guest Accommodations
The Inn At 835 Historic Bed and Breakfast features 13 guest rooms in total, 11 of which are located in the main building of the property and two luxury suites in the Bell House. Stylishly appointed guest rooms and suites are individually decorated and beautifully furnished with luxurious, turn-of-the-century décor and antiques, as well as modern amenities, creating a unique blend of old and new. All guest rooms and suite have private bathrooms with showers and/bathtubs, beautiful vanities, fresh towels and signature French toiletries, and modern amenities such as cable televisions, telephones with voicemail services, and complimentary wireless Internet access.
Guest rooms and suites in the main house feature king or queen-size beds with luxury linens and hypoallergenic pillows, en-suite bathrooms with elegant vanities, showers, soaking tubs/whirlpools, thick fresh towels, and signature bath products, including French hand, milled soap. Named after various blooms and flowers, the rooms and suites also have large windows or private balconies/verandas with beautiful views of the town and its attractions.
The two suites in the Bell House, namely the Wisteria and the Lavender Suites, add extra levels of luxury with high-back antique oak beds dressed in deluxe linens and down comforters, and en-suite bathrooms with double whirlpools, dual vanities, and separate shower areas. The Wisteria Suite has a spacious sitting area with a beautiful mahogany and marble fireplace, comfortable seating and modern amenities, including a television with VCR/DVD player.
2. Dining & Amenities
A complimentary gourmet breakfast is served every morning in the elegant dining room or can be ordered for delivery to the guest rooms. Breakfast includes coffee, tea and fresh juices, fresh fruit, granola and yogurts, freshly baked pastries, bread and rolls, and hot entrées of choice. Cheese and wine are served in the evenings where guests can relax and socialize over drinks and finely aged cheese.

The Inn At 835 Historic Bed and Breakfast offers modern banquet and meeting facilities for a variety of functions and special celebrations, for up to 150 guests. The Inn is fully equipped for business and entertaining needs, with over 8,500 square feet of space and modern services such as copying, printing, and faxing audiovisual equipment, and high-speed Internet access. The lovely garden is ideal for outdoor events, while the interior parlors in the Inn can cater for up to 75 in each space and a total of 150 guests altogether. The Conservatory features 3,400 square feet of space and can hold up to 300 guests for a seated reception or a cocktail-style gathering of 350 guests, while the adjacent Caucus Lounge is ideal for a pre-reception cocktail hour for up to 25 guests, complete with a full-service bar.
