The Tennessee Aquarium is a non-profit aquarium in Chattanooga . The aquarium is made up of two buildings. The first building, River Journey, was the original structure of the aquarium, and its 130,000 square feet made it the largest freshwater aquarium in the world when it opened.

Tours take anywhere from two to four hours, and several options are available, ranging from a self-guided audio tour to a VIP tour, which includes an in-character interpreter.
