2. Sister Bay Marina
Sister Bay marina is located in the heart of beautiful Sister Bay, Door County, Wisconsin. It is surrounded by the lush, well maintained waterfront park, a popular spot for local events, a family picnic, swimming or enjoying a spectacular sunset over the water. The marina offers 40 transient slips, 100 seasonal slips and ten commercial slips suitable for boats up to 80 feet long and with 7 foot drafts. 3. Corner of the Past Museum, Sister Bay, WI
Corner of the Past Museum is a history museum in Sister Bay, Wisconsin. It started on a tiny piece of land, but with the help of the local community it grew into a large museum on seven acres of land, with 17 historic beautifully restored buildings. The main gallery occupies the old Anderson House and it has 15 galleries full of original artifacts, photos, videos and stories. The museum organizes a range of public events such as family fun crafts, butter-making courses, wood crafts, a scavenger hunt for kids with ice cream reward and much more. Volunteer docents are available to answer visitors’ questions. The museum also offers self-guided Discovery Pen audio tours. 4. Holy Transfiguration Chapel and Woods
Located in the woods in Sister Bay, Wisconsin, behind the home of Reader George ("Pat") Mangan, A.I.A, a long-time resident of Sister Bay, Holy Transfiguration Chapel is a functioning outpost of the St. Matthew Orthodox Church of Green Bay, Wisconsin. Pat Mangan designed and built the Chapel as an outpost of Orthodoxy in Door County. Pat is serving and maintaining the chapel to serve as "home away from home, “ always open, available day and night. Visitors find the Chapel to be a special place where they can drop in to light a candle, pray, attend a Service, or just sit quietly before God. Door County Creamery is a charming cafe in Sister Bay, Wisconsin, where visitors can shop for artisanal goat cheeses, delicious fresh sandwiches and hand-made gelato. Covering 5.5 acres of protected land, the Three Springs Nature Preserve protects and showcases a critical habitat home to many species of threatened or endangered plants and animals. Family owned and operated since 1958, the Sister Bay Bowl and Supper Club is a legendary entertainment and dining venue in Sister Bay. The bowling alley occupies what was once a dance hall adjacent to the Sister Bay Hotel and the Supper Club is right beside the bowling alley. Most visitors come to the venue to enjoy the old-school style bowling, but once they taste the food they tend to come back time and again for a meal. The Peach Barn Farmhouse and Brewery has been family owned for more than 3 generations. They still produce tons of succulent peaches and make some really interesting craft beers. You can stop by to find out more at their indoor and outdoor tap rooms during the summer season, when you can enjoy sipping a delicious beer or two in an inviting farm setting. 14. Things to Do in Sister Bay, WI: Stoneboat Farm
Stoneboat Farm is home to a variety of fabulous exotic animals that you and your family have probably never seen before. The farm started off by acquiring a few alpacas in 2004, followed by their first Bactrian Camels a few years later. They even boast a few really rare white Bactrian Camels. Today the farm welcomes visitors to stop by and meet some of their exotic and friendly animal ambassadors, including some miniature horses and ponies. Stoneboat farm experiences include Behind the Scenes Adventures for children, Camel Encounters (includes petting and feeding) and Bactrian Camel Rides. The farm re-opens for the summer season in spring 2022.
