2. Hobbs State Park-Conservation Area

Hobbs State Park-Conservation Area is a 12,056-acre along the southern shore of Beaver Lake and Arkansas’s largest state park. The pristine tract of Ozark landscape spans the Benton, Carroll, and Madison Counties and features a variety of outdoor activities, including a diverse, 36-mile trail system for hiking and mountain biking, five primitive campsites, and a public outdoor shooting range. The park also allows regulated seasonal hunting and also has a modern visitor center with an array of exhibits detailing the park’s rich history, limestone landscapes, and natural resources. 4. War Eagle Mill

War Eagle Mill is a working gristmill situated in Benton County and a fascinating historical site Nestled in the rolling hills of the Ozarks. One of the most picturesque places in the Natural State, the War Eagle Mill is located on the site dating back to 1832 but has been destroyed and rebuilt several times in the past few decades. The first War Eagle Mill was built two decades before the Civil War before being washed away by a flood in 1848. Two more structures were subsequently constructed and destroyed until the third mill was built in 1973 and became a focal point of the local community. Today, the mill features a variety of exhibits, as well as a unique restaurant on the third floor and exclusive shopping. The historic War Eagle is situated next to the mill and is renowned for being one of the most celebrated and charming spans in Arkansas.

The Rogers Aquatic Center is a three-acre outdoor public water park with a variety of swimming pools and water slides, a lazy river, and several concessions. Transformed from a 70-year-old municipal pool into a renowned regional destination draw water lovers from around the state, the Rogers Aquatic Center is a leisure and waterpark hybrid that features seven venues, 10 pool deck areas and a 20,000 square foot building structure covering a lazy river, a leisure pool, plunge pool, tot pool and a spray pad, along with a bowl slide, tube slides, speed slides, a climbing wall, and a competition lap pool.

6. Rogers Historical Museum

Founded in 1974, the Rogers Historical Museum is dedicated to showcasing and preserving the local heritage of the region and is the largest and most comprehensive history museum in Benton County. Housed in the Hawkins House, a historical five-room brick building dating back to 1895 and furnished as a late-nineteenth-century home. A 5,600-square-foot addition named in honor of Vera Key was added to the building in 1987 to house the extensive collection, and the museum was opened for guided tours to the public. The Rogers Historical Museum also provides a wide variety of outreach educational programs for children and adults, and a research library is available for public use.

9. Lake Atalanta

Lake Atalanta is a reservoir set along Prairie Creek that is used primarily for recreation with a variety of outdoor and recreational facilities, including a children’s playground, picnic areas with tables, and a walking trail. Built in 1936, the lake is named after the wife of O.L. Gregory who donated the land on which the reservoir was built and is surrounded by the second oldest park in Rogers, the 236-acre Lake Atalanta Park. The fishing lake is stocked with channel catfish in the summer months, and rainbow trout in the winter months. Other facilities in and around Lake Atalanta include paved stone walkways, picnic pavilions, off-road biking trails and walking tracks.

The Railyard Bike and Dog Park is a natural surface bike park with a variety of outdoor and recreational facilities, including paved trails for riders of all skill levels. Located at 299 E. Cherry Street and open to the public daily, the Railyard features drinking fountains, off-road biking trails, doggie stations, picnic tables, observation decks, restrooms, and a trail system which leads to Lake Atalanta Park. The park is so named for its location just a few blocks away from the Arkansas-Missouri railroad and for some of its features which are made from recycled trains. One such feature is a full-scale rail car set on real railroad tracks that bikers ride through. There are also multi-use trails connecting to Lake Atalanta or Pleasant Ridge trails.
