2. Pratt Park
Located right in the heart of Old Prattville, Pratt Park is a lovely location you can spend a few hours exploring when you’re in the area. The park has a walking trail, picnic tables, a small pond, and they even have an amphitheater. Due to having so many facilities and being such a charming atmosphere, Pratt Park is often the base for many community events and is extremely popular with the locals there. Depending on when you’re visiting, you may be able to take part in their annual Service League’s Labor Day Barbecue or their Lions Club Fourth of July Fireworks and Barbecue celebration.

3. Pratt Cotton Gin Mill
The historic Pratt Cotton Gin Mill is what remains of the work of major industrialist Daniel Pratt, who was the founder of present day Prattville. Pratt opened his factory complex and provided work opportunities to thousands of residents, who in turn made it one of the largest manufacturers of cotton gins in the world. Today, the buildings hold the title as one of the longest continuously occupied industrial buildings in the state. Visitors are invited to explore the lovely structures and take some amazing pictures of it and its surroundings in the historic downtown area. Just viewing it from afar, as the river flows in front of it, is a beautiful and scenic sight to experience.

4. Cooter's Pond Park
Beautiful all year round, Cooter’s Pond Park can be found right on the rich banks of the Alabama River. The park is divided into two sections, the lower of which comprises a riverwalk, boat ramps, and designated picnic areas. The upper sections of the park also have several picnic pavilions, but also includes the gorgeous surrounding of open fields, wooded areas, and incomparable views of the Montgomery skyline. You will come across so much flora and fauna as you adventure through the park, including several largely popular bird species such as Eastern Bluebirds, Northern Parulas, Yellow-throated Warblers, and Blue-gray Gnatcatchers.

5. Autauga Creek Canoe Trail
Autauga Creek Canoe Trail offers a great place to be cool and shady on a hot summer day. There are so many things to see and do along the trail and the surrounding park such as going canoeing, paddling, or even taking a tub down the naturally lazy creek. There is a wooden footbridge which you can walk through to get up close to the stunning wooded areas which can be found there. The landscaped area is perfect for a picnic, so bring a basket along, or choose to dine in one of the many restaurants which are within walking distance from the trail. Uniquely enough, the trail is extremely popular with geocachers who come in search of treasure of all sorts.
6. The Prattaugan Museum
The Prattaugan Museum is a great way for both residents and visitors to get a deeper understanding of Prattville, it’s people, and its history. The museum aims to preserve the area’s rich culture and history and share them with its visitors. While there, you will be able to see a varied collection of objects and artifacts from the area’s colorful past. Their special display dedicated to WWII includes a plaque of people who worked at the local gin factory and went off to way. There are also war ration cards, photographers, telegrams, and newspaper articles from back then.
