Situated in Wasatch Mountain State Park, the Soldier Hollow Nordic Center is well known as being the site for the 2002 Winter Olympics. Part of the Soldier Hollow Golf Course at Wasatch Mountain State Park, the Silver Hollow Golf Course has welcomed golfers of all levels to its pristine 36-hole layout since 2004. The course, which features a name inspired by the area’s Olympic heritage, features wider fairways and is a little shorter than its sister course, the Gold Course. The design features ample fairway bunkers, as well as downhill holes and elevated tees, and convenient access to the clubhouse nearby.

Authentic Italian cooking is served daily at Café Galleria. Opened in 2008 by a native New York, this restaurant, which is known for its artisan pizza, is housed in a historic 110-year-building. 12. Midway Ice Arena

The Midway Ice Arena is a scenic outdoor ice skating rink where skaters can enjoy beautiful views as they exercise. The rink started off in 2000 as a seasonal natural ice rink on Midtown Square but after acquiring some ice machines left over from the 2002 Olympics, the ice skating and ice hockey seasons have been considerably extended and usually you can skate from November to March. If you are just starting out and need some assistance you can sign up for some private or group lessons. Skates can be hired onsite and there is a cozy “warming hut” where you can shelter from the cold and watch everyone else on the ice.
