Covering over 138 acres, this park is commonly known as TY park – its full name translates as “gathering place” and that is exactly what it has become for both Hollywood locals and visitors. There are a wide range of activities available at the park and you can play tennis, basketball and volleyball or go walking, skating or cycling along the 2-mile loop path. If you enjoy boating you can rents boats, canoes and paddleboats at the Marina and fishing (from the boats or a pier) is another popular activity. Hollywood North Beach Park covers 56 acres nestled between the Atlantic Ocean and the Intracoastal. On the ocean side beach-goers can enjoy over a mile of palm-fringed beach where you can soak up the sun. The park is bordered by a paved boardwalk which is suitable for wheelchairs. There are several shady picnic areas with grills and tables on the Intracoastal side of the park, where you will also find a fishing pier. There is plenty of parking on both sides of the park, as well as restrooms and showers. If you are visiting with your pooch you can both have fun at the North Beach Dog Beach, located about half a mile further north.

Dedicated to protecting and showcasing the unique ecology of South Florida, the Anne Kolb Nature Center is a must-see attraction for all nature lovers. The center is situated on a 1,500-acre coastal mangrove wetland, which is home to many unique or rare and threatened species of plants and animals. There are four separate trails (most of them are short trails suitable for the whole family) which you can explore on foot. You can climb up the observation tower for great views of the estuary, Intracoastal Waterway and the ocean. Bird lovers can spend hours observing and photographing nesting and feeding birds while avid fishermen can practice catch-and-release from the fishing pier. You can also visit the Exhibit Hall to see nature-related artworks and displays.
