This 6.5-mile hike begins at the ferry landing in Avalon and culminates at the summit of Catalina’s rugged hills. Once at the summit, hikers can enjoy a fantastic view of both ends of the island, and will even see breathtaking vistas of the Pacific Ocean and the other Channel Islands. All in all, the Garden-to-Sky Summit Hike can take anywhere between 2 to 4 hours depending on your pacing.
