The Blackjack Campground is located within Tyler State Park in northeastern Texas, which is home to historic structures, trees one hundred feet tall, and a spring fed 64-acre lake. Visitors can find a variety of outdoor activities near the campground, such as looking for wildlife through binoculars, exploring the woodlands, casting a line, or having some water-based fun in the lake. The Copperas Creek Campground is situated along the shores of Proctor Lake near Comanche, Texas within the state’s scenic Cross Timbers Region. Honey Flat is the southernmost and largest of the park’s campgrounds, with campsites one through thirty-five situated just past the Caprock Canyons visitor center and are the most developed campsites. The campgrounds at Possum Kingdom State Park are divided up into four separate camping areas. There is also an addition ten-site camping area consisting of primitive campsites. These four main campground loops are situated along the lake and are called Chaparral Trail, Shady Grove, Lakeview, and Spanish Oaks. The Chaparral Trail camping area is a bit removed from the park’s marina activity, offering a more quiet and peaceful setting. The area includes restrooms, showers, water, and a playground. Kickapoo Cavern State Park is a unique park that is home to approximately eighteen miles of trails through the wilderness and twenty known caves.
